HK$72.38 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$8.67 billion, or 11.98% of the
market's turnover. There were 621 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and XIAOMI-W
(01810) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$711.5 million and HK$638.64
million, or 8.2% and 7.36% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 24.34% and 22.57% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W (03690) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$566.7 million and HK$442.45 million
of short sales, accounting for 6.53% and 5.1% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 21.89% and 10.91% of respective stock's
turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed up HK$0.022, or 0.53%, to HK$4.174. XIAOMI-W ended down HK$1.15, or
4.05%, to HK$27.25. MEITUAN-W rose HK$5.3, or 3.27% to HK$167.3. BABA-W jumped HK$2.15, or
2.62%, to HK$84.1.
