Politico, citing sources, reported that the Trump administration is preparing a 90-day ban on diesel exports. However, the White House later denied considering a comprehensive, temporary diesel export ban, emphasizing that the report is incorrect.

　　The news once dragged down U.S. ultra-low sulfur diesel futures, with the October contract last trading at $4.7437 per gallon, down about 4%, and earlier falling more than 6%; the European low-sulfur diesel crack spread rose to a record high.

　　U.S. Energy Secretary Wright said a complete ban on diesel exports is not feasible and could push up gasoline and aviation fuel prices.
