Xiaomi rises 1% against the market trend; new Xiaomi 18 Pro series smartphones start at 5,499 yuan with trade-in offer

The Economic Information Daily reported on the 24th that Xiaomi (01810) is currently up 0.8%, trading at 26.38 yuan, with approximately 19.83 million shares traded, involving a turnover of 523 million yuan.

Xiaomi held its autumn new product launch event on Wednesday (23rd), unveiling the new Xiaomi 18 Pro series smartphones, priced from 5,999 RMB, with actual prices starting from 5,499 RMB under the "trade-in" subsidy program; the Transparent Special Edition starts at 9,999 RMB. The Xiaomi Pro Max series starts at 6,999 RMB, with the Pro Max Transparent Special Edition (16GB+1TB) priced at 10,999 RMB. The most notable feature of both phones is the significantly enhanced functionality of the rear display, which for the first time incorporates AI technology to enable more effects on the back screen.

At the launch event, Xiaomi also introduced three new tech products: the Xiaomi Pad 9 series, Xiaomi Watch S5 series, and Xiaomi Band 11, along with a range of new ecosystem tech products. Xiaomi President Lu Weibing revealed that the initial sales volume of the flagship foldable smartphone Xiaomi 18 Fold, launched earlier this month, was three times higher than that of its previous generation large foldable model.

Additionally, according to HKEX data, BlackRock increased its stake in Xiaomi by 2.63 million shares last Friday (18th), at an average price of 26.3364 yuan per share, involving a total of 69.2647 million yuan, raising its latest持股比例 to 5%.

Currently, the Hang Seng Index stands at 24,740, down 93 points or 0.4%, with main board turnover exceeding 21.5 billion yuan. The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index stands at 8,256, down 17 points or 0.2%. The Hang Seng Tech Index stands at 4,344, down 34 points or 0.8%. (vs)
