[ET Net News Agency, 12 December 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$106.53 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$13.8 billion, or 12.95% of the
market's turnover. There were 753 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and XIAOMI-W
(01810) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.56 billion and HK$878.76
million, or 11.3% and 6.37% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 25.09% and 22.29% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$614.33 million and HK$576.28 million
of short sales, accounting for 4.45% and 4.18% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 13.04% and 20.7% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.36, or 1.4%, to HK$26.12. XIAOMI-W ended up HK$1.14, or
2.7%, to HK$43.32. BABA-W rose HK$1.8, or 1.2% to HK$152.4. HSCEI ETF jumped HK$1.08, or
1.18%, to HK$92.66.
