HK$127.94 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$14.79 billion, or 11.56% of the
market's turnover. There were 753 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and POP MART
(09992) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.03 billion and HK$984.39
million, or 6.99% and 6.65% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 25.26% and 20.78% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$716.6 million and HK$639.78 million
of short sales, accounting for 4.84% and 4.32% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 7.64% and 20.3% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed up HK$0.005, or 0.09%, to HK$5.645. POP MART ended up HK$13.4, or
6.5%, to HK$219.4. BABA-W rose HK$4.3, or 2.61% to HK$169.1. HSCEI ETF jumped HK$0.42, or
0.45%, to HK$93.74.
