billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$25.03 billion, or 15.25% of the market's
turnover. There were 809 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and BABA-W (09988) saw
higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.99 billion and HK$1.58 billion, or 7.94%
and 6.3% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 11.05%
and 19.45% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$1.06 billion and HK$907.75 million
of short sales, accounting for 4.24% and 3.63% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 16.64% and 10.69% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.14, or 0.55%, to HK$25.64. BABA-W ended down HK$1.5, or
1.15%, to HK$128.4. TENCENT rose HK$2.5, or 0.49% to HK$508.5. HSCEI ETF jumped HK$0.04,
or 0.05%, to HK$86.98.
