[ET Net News Agency, 15 April 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$134.99
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$18.19 billion, or 13.48% of the market's
turnover. There were 792 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TRACKER FUND
(02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.49 billion and HK$1.19
billion, or 8.17% and 6.55% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 49.85% and 21.48% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and AIA (01299) registered HK$1.05 billion and HK$758.15 million of short
sales, accounting for 5.76% and 4.17% of the total short sales values respectively. The
transactions represented 13.58% and 48.08% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed up HK$0.088, or 1.85%, to HK$4.838. TRACKER FUND ended up HK$0.18,
or 0.69%, to HK$26.38. BABA-W rose HK$5, or 4.02% to HK$129.5. AIA declined by HK$1.25, or
1.44%, to HK$85.75.
