[ET Net News Agency, 16 April 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$129.78
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$19.36 billion, or 14.92% of the market's
turnover. There were 785 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and BABA-W (09988) saw
higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.61 billion and HK$1.42 billion, or 8.31%
and 7.35% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 53.13%
and 18.37% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and TRACKER FUND (02800) registered HK$1.32 billion and HK$1.05
billion of short sales, accounting for 6.81% and 5.42% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 39.38% and 18.2% of respective stock's
turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed up HK$0.14, or 2.91%, to HK$4.954. BABA-W ended up HK$5.9, or 4.59%,
to HK$134.5. HSCEI ETF rose HK$1.62, or 1.82% to HK$90.86. TRACKER FUND jumped HK$0.38, or
1.45%, to HK$26.62.
