billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$43.94 billion, or 17.15% of the market's
turnover. There were 821 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and CSOP HS TECH
(03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$5.53 billion and HK$3.8
billion, or 12.58% and 8.64% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 37.64% and 52% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$3.53 billion and HK$2.88 billion of
short sales, accounting for 8.03% and 6.55% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 44.68% and 16.84% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.46, or 1.75%, to HK$26.7. CSOP HS TECH ended up HK$0.18, or
3.74%, to HK$4.994. HSCEI ETF rose HK$1.96, or 2.2% to HK$91.2. BABA-W jumped HK$7.2, or
5.6%, to HK$135.8.
