Artist and poet Nicholas Wong’s work “Logorrhoea” explores the repetition of language. This event begins with the artist reading phrases from the work alongside selected passages from Buddhist or Taoist scriptures that employ linguistic repetition. It then gradually moves towards pseudo-spells derived from the phonetic transliteration of English, followed by a dialogue with the exhibition curator exploring how repetition can unsettle meaning and generate new possibilities for language.
