“Volte” is an electroacoustic recital by Linus Fung and Chris Cheung reimagining and reinterpretating classical pieces.
Volta brackets [Volte, Plural] are the different ends of a repeated musical passage - where is it bringing us to? From a daily routine, an anniversary to life-and-death, we inevitably experience the world as life cycles. “History always repeats itself” - we often feel numb as the modern world pace of life races ever so quickly.
Through their modular synthesized setups, Linus (Clarinet) and Chris (Keyboards) lead the audience through a musical journey with timeless classical pieces including works by J. S. Bach, Camille Saint-Saëns, Franz Schubert, Johann Strauss, Arvo Pärt and some structured improvisations. Better felt than missed, let’s take the time to reflect on our own “volte” together.
